LaserMax Uni-Max Micro & Genesis Green Laser

If you are using either a Beretta CX4 Storm or AR15 you probably know from experience how fast the accessories you add to your weapon of choice increase the weight. One pound for a sling, one and half pounds for a scope, 6 ounces for a laser/light unit and so forth. Before you know it you have increased the weight of your favorite weapon by half again.

Uni-Max Micro Whether you are just going to check your property with a 15 minute walk, or you are going out to be out for a few days you need to carry other items. Magazines, flashlights, and other accessories add weight fast to your load. So when possible I try to use accessories that help reduce my load and allowing me to move faster and move further.
LaserMax has introduced a new laser into the Uni-Max series the Micro. Its designed for compact weapons and as you will see it works nicely on the Beretta CX4 Storm. Basically its a rail mounted laser, with ambidextrous switches for on / off control so it works equally well for right or left handed shooters. Its very light at 0.43 ounces, and is only 1.0"W x 1.25"L x 0.80"H. Uni-Max Micro
Uni-Max Micro I have always been a fan of the Uni-Max laser however, its cost is just a little too high for the mainstream user. The Uni-Max has the option of a wired remote but on compact weapons like the Beretta CX4 Storm and AR15 since you can mount the laser where you can work it with your finger, the wire remote is an unnecessary cost. Plus I find that anything that will snag on an entry a minus.
The three things that set the Micro apart from the Uni-Max is smaller size, battery type, and lower cost. Simple and reliable construction are the key. The on/off switches built into each side are integrated right into the printed circuit board design. This elimates the mechanical switch found on the Uni-Max which is required so you can remove it and add the wired remote. Uni-Max Micro
Uni-Max Micro The Micro uses a single 1/3N cell instead of the two 357 batteries required by the Uni-Max. The Micro has a sliding battery cover whereas the Uni-Max requires the removal of two screws to get the battery cover off. If you have ever tried to change batteries in the field I am sure you can appreciate the simple sliding battery cover of the Micro over having to deal with small screws on the Uni-Max.
Rail space is at a premium on the Beretta CX4 Storm. We do not have the long quad rails of the AR15 family. Since the Micro is so small you can easily mount other accessories on the same Long Side Rail. Our SOP sling is very popular for the Storm and easily shares the Long Side Rail with the Micro. Shown mounted for a right hand shooter you would simply reverse sides for a left handed shooter. Uni-Max Micro
hicks/LMXGEN_MR.jpg The LaserMax Genesis a Green Rechargeable Laser. This compact and durable green laser requires no battery changes and fits on virtually any firearm with an accessory rail. Green lasers are more visible during any level of lighting, both day and night, making this a great choice for use in any environment. With the LaserMax Genesis, you don't have to worry about a dead battery standing in your way when you need a laser the most.

If you are in the market for a reliable (3 year warranty) lightweight laser for your Beretta CX4, AR15, or any handgun with a rail system then its here. LaserMax has out done themselves with the Micro and for users who do not need or want a remote the Micro fixes some of the problems with the Uni-Max. Better battery life, easier battery changes, smaller size, and finally a excellent price for a top notch laser.

The LaserMax Genesis provides a compact Green Laser that is rechargeable and is suitable for security and tactical entry applications.
